About

My name is James Anderson, and I am the owner of JJA Construction LLC. I was born and raised in Denver and bring a wide range of hands-on construction experience to every project.

I began my career installing low-voltage cable in office buildings across Denver and surrounding states. After a year, I transitioned into skylight installation, where I personally installed over 1,000 skylights in the next three years. I worked my way up to lead installer, managing both residential and commercial projects throughout Colorado.

Looking for a new challenge, I moved to the Gunnison Valley, where I spent seven years building multi-million-dollar custom homes in Gunnison, Almont, and Crested Butte. As a carpenter, I started framing on top of the foundation and continued through every stage of the build—setting beams, trusses, and posts; over-framing roofs; building gables, dormers, valleys, and hips; and installing and trimming windows, doors, siding, and interior finishes. My work ranged from heavy structural carpentry to fine detail trim, giving me a complete understanding of home construction from the ground up.

In 2023, I relocated to Centennial and earned a diploma in Welding and Metal Fabrication Technology. I wanted to expand my skill set into a new trade, and that drive for growth ultimately led me to open JJA Construction LLC. Today, I bring my years of diverse experience, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality into every project I take on.

Mission

My mission is to make the world a little more comfortable, one home at a time. I believe a house is more than just four walls—it’s a living, breathing part of your life. Wood shifts with the seasons, air fills the space you breathe, and every detail should feel like an extension of yourself, not just a place to spend the night.

Whatever your vision may be, I’m here to help bring it to life with sustainable building practices. From fixing a door that sticks to reimagining a kitchen layout for easier cooking—or even building a custom home from the ground up—I take pride in turning ideas into reality.

Vision

To create homes that breathe with their owners spaces that are as comfortable aesthetically as they are physically, sustainably built with the highest craftsmanship, and made to last for generations.
